We are proud to debut this new design created in collaboration with Minneapolis-based illustrator, graphic designer, and nature enthusiast, Dominica Manno.
Our intention was to capture the sense of being immersed in the natural wonder of BWCA, surrounded by majestic white pines, crystal clear water, and captivating wildlife. The bold, yet grounded color scheme was inspired by the rich colors of the changing seasons in the area and throughout northern Minnesota. The established date of 1978 is in reference to the official preservation date of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.
The badge shape on the back of the shirt was inspired by amazing organizations such as the National Parks Service and Save the Boundary Waters doing the hard work to keep our public land pristine and protected. When you purchase this shirt you are purchasing a badge that will protect the BWCA. Fifty percent of all shirt profits are donated directly to the Save the Boundary Waters’ efforts to continue the preservation of the BWCA Wilderness and to stop potential drilling and mining pollution in the area.
